Be Present

Almost everyone of us probably has so much to think. Well, we have many tasks to do in a day, or at least we have something we desire. We know that there are moments where our minds wonder away. We do something but we're not fully focused there. Today I'm going to talk about "be present".

Some of you probably have heard about mindfulness. When hearing this perhaps what's in your mind is eastern religion like Buddhism. But no, let me tell you that mindfulness doesn't have to be Buddhist, though Buddhists practice it but there are differences in general mindfulness and mindfulness in Buddhism or other eastern religions, for example you don't have to practice their meditation or say certain mantras or prayers or do a ritual

Mindfulness is simply, in its very essence, a practice of bringing all you are to where you are right now and focusing on what you do. It means that we, including our mind fully in the "here and now". We often say "stay focus" or something like that right? That's what mindfulness is, focus. Everything from your mind to your senses truly experience where you are right now and what you're doing. Your mind don't wonder away or think anything else.

But is why is this important? At least there are two benefits I've experienced. First, I can prevent more stress or unnecessary psychological burden because when doing something, I only focus on what I do right here and right now. By doing this I also save more emotional energy so that I do my activities in fresh condition. Second, mindfulness helps you to do what you should do maximally. When bringing all you are from your mind to your senses right to where you are and what you do, you will have more awareness and be more attentive. From listening to someone you talk with to finishing an assignment, you will not miss anything important.

So that's all I can write about mindfulness or be present. Hope it's helpful. Have a great day everyone!

Go to the Nature!

The fresh air of the mountains, the beautiful waterfall, the sound of waves at the beach. Nature is wonderful. Why don't you go there with your loved ones?. You may feel stressed because of your tasks and routines, well, nature can be a cure. I don't guarantee that you will be totally stress-free, but at least going there with your friends or family could make you feel better.  Why don't we enjoy the beauty that has been designed for us? Why don't we appreciate these artworks which also provide us essentials for life? Go there, spend time with your love ones. Take a hike or play at the beach, go for a camp or just chill watching the relaxing waterfall. And just as I said on my previous post, be mindful. Be present there with your loved ones. Don't miss every moment. Have a great day everyone!
